We Specialize in Treating Neck and Back Pain due to Worker's Comp and Auto Injuries
Our care is focused on finding the fastest way to get you out of pain and to prevent the pain from returning. We use a variety of treatment and educational options to best help you to a life of less pain and greater activity and control in your life.
Chiropractic adjustment or manipulation is a manual procedure that utilizes the highly refined skills developed during the doctor of chiropractic’s intensive years of chiropractic education. Our chiropractors typically use their hands to gently manipulate the joints of the spine, in order to restore or enhance joint function and provide back pain pain relief. Chiropractic manipulation is a highly controlled procedure that rarely causes discomfort.
Spinal mobilization (MOB) is defined as the application of manual force to the spinal joints within the passive range of joint motion, employing slow movemenst, usually to a firm endpoint of joint movement in order to re-establish correct movement patterns and reduce irritation.
Our doctors use a variety of hands-on soft tissue therapies to improve the function of the soft tissues (muscles, ligaments, and tendons) in order to reduce pain and normalize function in order to restore balance to the spine and reduce pain causein stress.
Techniques include, Nimmo trigger point therapy, active release therapy and various massage techniques
IASTM is applied using specially designed instruments to provide a mobilizing effect to soft tissue (e.g., scar tissue, myofascial adhesion) to decrease pain and improve range of motion (ROM) and function.
Electrical Muscle Stimulation uses electrical pulses to mimic the action of signals coming from neurons (cells in your nervous system) and to cause pain-relieving chemical responsed from your body. These mild electrical currents are applied at an intensity of your choosing and comfort level and provide pain relief at the site of application and can compliment other treatments but reducing local irritation.
Our Doctors are well-informed on the latest research for the therapies that they provide. They are certified to perform RockTape/Kinesiotaping, Rock Blades, NeuroMuscular Reeducation, Trigger point therapy, Post-isometric Relaxation and many more. All these are to help rid the body of muscle imbalance(s)
Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) is a system of treatment that retrains the brain to interpret and respond to signals from the body properly, subsequently breaking the cycle of chronic pain. A recently published randomized controlled study at the University of Colorado Boulder validated Pain Reprocessing Therapy as the most effective current treatment for chronic pain. In the study, there were 100 chronic back pain patients. Half of them received PRT twice a week for four weeks, and half of them received treatment as usual. In the PRT group, 98% of patients improved and 66% of patients were pain-free or nearly pain-free at the end of treatment. These outcomes were largely maintained one year later.
